Archaeology and Mineral Collections illustrate a variety of finds and wide range of geology present in the South Molton area.


The Penny-Farthing Bicycle

This machine was owned and renovated by a local car mechanic. He was brave enough to ride it and finally donated it to the Museum.

South Molton has had a wide range of products manufactured in the town throughout its history, which has made the Town prosperous and in some cases famous.


Time Line

This is a summary of the Town's history from its very early days, as a newly formed Borough and through to modern times.


The Town's Charters

The Town's Charters have been conserved and are now exhibited in new frames for easier viewing. In addition, display boards with translations of the Charters and the descriptions of materials used.


Meshaw Stocks

The 6 leg holes Stocks were originally located in the village of Meshaw situated south of the Town.
